News.

  • My ERC StG project FIND (Finance and Innovation to couple Negative emissions and sustainable Development) started in January 2024! Feel free to contact for inquires, results and opening of positions!

  • The Weighted Climate Dataset is online!  This is a repository collecting climate and weather data (e.g. average temperature; total precipitation; SPEI and more) aggregated at regional or national level and weighted by indicators of local economic activity (e.g. nightlights or population density). National and regional GDP data are also included. This repo is intended to facilitate replication and research in climate econometrics!

  • A new paper on how scientific advances in carbon removal (CDR) technologies spill-over to science, technology (patents), policy and media is out in Environmental Research Letters ! Here is the link.

Climate Change.
Climate change is one of the most daunting challenges of our times. The relationships between climate and economic dynamics are fascinating but still obscure. A lot of effort is  required to advance in such an interesting and multidisciplinary  field. My research focuses on the application of ABM and network models, both for impact assessment and policy testing.

Agent Based Modeling, Macroeconomics & Validation.
The theory of Complex Systems offers interesting tools to analyze social phenomena. One of them is agent based modeling. However, the relationship of complex simulation models with the empirical data is non-trivial. My research focuses on the analysis of macroeconomic issues by means of ABMs and on the empirical validation of these models.
